Lead Engineer-ETAP(Electrical)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer (ETAP) to join our engineering team for an
Oil & Gas project. The ideal candidate will lead the electrical engineering team in performing
electrical system design, analysis, and optimization using ETAP software. This role involves
managing complex electrical projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and
compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical system design, analysis, and optimization for Oil & Gas projects using
  ETAP software.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies to
  ensure optimal system performance and safety.
• Supervise and guide junior engineers in the development of electrical system designs,
  including power distribution, grounding, and protection schemes.
• Ensure electrical designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety
  regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE, API).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of electrical
  systems with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, instrumentation).
• Review and approve electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, and detailed design
  documents.
• Provide technical support to the procurement, construction, and commissioning teams,
  ensuring electrical systems are delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and resources
  for electrical engineering tasks.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards throughout the
  project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring
  effective communication and addressing any technical concerns.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting, ensuring the safe
  and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership
  or supervisory role, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Extensive experience using ETAP for electrical system analysis (load flow, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, protection systems, and
  safety standards.
• In-depth understanding of industry codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, API, etc.)
• Proven experience leading electrical design teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work
  collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience

• Proven track record of working with ETAP in large-scale Oil & Gas projects,
  including offshore and onshore facilities.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and resources in electrical
  engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience with electrical system commissioning, testing, and
  troubleshooting.
